OVERVIEW
Our team will be assisting in various construction projects at Campamento CALY, a camp and retreat center in Lago Yojoa, Honduras. The camp and retreat center serves a variety of purposes. It’s a safe place for pastors to bring their families to rest. Numerous marriage and spiritual development retreats are hosted there for pastors and their wives. Local churches use the property for kids and youth camps, sports camps, and retreats.
PROJECTS
The projects the camp will have for us will largely depend on the skillset we bring down. If we have a professional plumber or an electrician or contractor that might change what kinds of projects we’re a part of. You do not have to have a specific skill set to be a valuable member of this team. Some of the tasks we might be asked to do may include: sanding, painting, tiling, grouting, preparing an area for construction, cleaning, material prep, running errands with our missionaries, and cooking/meal prep.
GOALS FOR THE TRIP
- Work at Camp
- See a local ministry
- Attend a local church
- Enjoy a beautiful part of Honduras
